Job Description:
A company is looking for a Clinical Pharmacy Technician II to
evaluate and authorize prior authorization pharmacy requests.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and communicate decisions on prior authorization requests
to healthcare providers
Monitor and manage the telephone system to ensure client service
levels are met
Serve as a mentor and training resource for team members, sharing
best practices
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance
with state requirements
Minimum of 2 years of dispensing or retail experience, or
equivalent internal training
In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs and
health plan formulary management
Proficiency in pharmacy computerized systems and MS Office
Suite
National certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT) if state does not
require licensure
